Using the study as a baseline, the Environment Group plans to prepare an annual report on aspects of Walmer’s environment for consideration by Walmer Parish Council and Dover District Council, particularly studying the different habitats.

Part of the beach beside the Kingsdown Road has developed as a Lichen Heath. This is a very rare localised habitat where specialized lichens have developed on the shingle. Continue reading
